Tuesday consisted of a well needed pool day! Time to relax, try grab a tan and sleep off our hangovers, again.

26/03 As we have already mentioned before we started travelling we all had a small bucket list of things we wanted to do. And today we were about to cross another one off the list! Elephant trekking! We started the morning learning about how to comment the elephants and ride them. It was a massive struggle firstly climbing up onto the elephant however we were taught how to command the elephant to lift up its front leg as sort of a leg up, however we were still absolutely terrible which in turn meant the poor guys having to shove us up by our bums! Lovely view! We then helped look after the elephants by feeding them and yes the best job of all: cleaning up elephant poo. It was actually really heavy. Quick pit stop for lunch then finally time to ride the elephants. Kelly and Charlotte on one, and Georgie and bex on the other one! We did a short walk bare back on the elephant which is better than putting seats on them. We then walked back through a river in which the elephants all squirted water in to their trunks and then completely drenched us! The water was freezing but again another amazing experience! It was then time to wash the elephants. We got into a river with them and used scrubbing brushes to wash the elephants, I guess you could say sat in a river with an elephant scrubbing it clean was kinda surreal. Lastly it was time to actually swim with the elephants! We all got on their backs as they swam in the river. Was so strange especially when they kept going under the water. Elephants trekking was absolutely amazing and one of the best experiences by far. Being so up close with the elephants and having them kiss us (suck our necks with their trunks) and in turn for us to hug their trunks was extraordinary! Japanese for tea. All you can eat buffet which you then cook on a small stove on your table. You go up chose your meat, noodles, salad, fruit, chips and onion rings then cook it and eat what you like. 73873 stone later it was time to leave, I think you could definitely say we got our monies worth.
