Getting up feeling surprising good, it was time to learn how to cook Thai food from scratch at the Thai cooking school. We met up with Ar again and piled into our tuk tuk for the first stop, the market. We learnt about the background of Thai cuisine and the ingredients needed for certain recipes. After that it was off to the outdoor kitchen where we had to choose 7 different dishes that we wanted to make. The first dish was soup, gathering our ingredients ready to make our chosen soup, we prepared and chopped the vegetables, adding the chicken and finally our chosen sauce. As normal Georgie gets a little excited when there is chilli on the table, her soup was far too hot for Charlotte and Kelly! The other 6 dishes included noodles, stir fry vegetables, spring rolls, Thai desserts and cooking a curry made from our own curry paste. Making the curry paste from scratch was a lot harder than you think, as we had to mix several herbs and spices together until a thick paste was formed. As you can imagine after cooking 6 different dishes and consuming them all we were all feeling very full! After finishing the course and receiving our very own Thai cooking class certificate, we had a celebratory photo and it was back to the hostel. A quick shower and change, we met back up with the boys, we decided to go and check out the Sunday night market, it's meant to be the best one in Chiang Mai. The market was very big, selling everything from fruit shakes to socks, but after walking through crowds of people walking 2 mph we decided to go to roof top bar to grab a few Changs as it was Bens last night before flying home. After waiting all day for the arrival or REBEKAH WALLER we finally received the text we was waiting for, she had arrived in chaing Mai. Charlotte and Kelly hoped in the first tuk tuk they could find to go and collect her from the hostel. We then decided that karaoke was the next best thing to round of the day! throwing a few shapes and showing the bar our superstar voices, such a good night! Treating bex to a few little gifts, we sang happy birthday with a slice of chocolate cake once arriving back at the hostel!Getting up feeling surprising good, it was time to learn how to cook Thai food from scratch at the Thai cooking school.
