It was finally the day we had been waiting for, one of the main reasons we had decided to visit Laos: tubing. Even after Dan Steinberg had told us it was illegal, we decided to give his silly remarks and rent a tube anyway. Tubing is in effect a bar crawl down a river in a rubber ring. All dressed in our tubing shorts ready for a hard days drinking we boarded the tuk tuk with our rubber rings and newest member josh in toe. Shock before we had even sat in our rub...

After an early night we were up and ready to hit the pool, trying top up these tans, however as per usual the sun was behind the many clouds that cover up Laos. So instead it was a day indoors trying to catch up on TOWIE. But as the internet wasn't so great we just sat there catching up with friends and family. Come 1pm it was time to hop on a mini bus and travel the 5 hours to vang vieng, a little town we'd all been looking forward to because of the tubing! So...

Get off, get off! We arrived at 6am to the smallest capital city, Vientiane. Absolutely shattered from the terrible journey the day and night before the first stop was a nap in the movie room and hello "the vow". Okay the quality of the film wasn't great but hey an English chick flick is better than no chick flick! With not a huge amount to do, we hit up the one street Vientiane had to offer. So after 2 nights it's time to hit the road again, this time we are making the 18 hour journey to Vientiane. First comes the boat ride back to the mainland, this might sound easy but add your rucksack onto your back whilst trying to climb onto a rocking little fishing boat and it already becomes much harder than you can imagine. However after that obstacle course, and of course then grabbing your bag off the swaying boat at the other side we had "made" it. Next...

Slept surprisingly well considering we were all in one bed. Decided to rent push bikes today and visit the island don kong which is attached by a bridge. Was lovely to feel the air against our skin but boy it was hot. Visited our first waterfall, it's so nice but we are gutted we can't swim in it. Did have a little paddle in the safe pool though which was very refreshing. Back to the beach for the afternoon, then onto the balcony to watch the sunset and catch ...
