Today we checked out of our hotel at 7:30 am, in order to catch a flight from Nha Trang to Hoi An. Once in Hoi An, we went for lunch at Bale Well. This was probably once of the best eats I have had since being here. Today was a cruise day to some of the surrounding islands of Nha Trang. There were some amazing views of the ocean, mountains, and city all combined when sailing. Once we got to the island we did a little bit of swimming and I tried snorkling for the first time! Was a bit worried about it but wore a life jacket so I was able to float and wouldn't have to worry about drowning. Today we went to the war museum that show cased the photography taken by photographers who went to Vietnam during the war. The images were very striking and often came with a little caption. The photographs illustrated what Vietnam went through when the Americans were present; the images conjured up a lot of emotions. Today we left the group home stay and headed towards Cu Chi to take a tour of the tunnels that were used during the Vietnam war. We were provided information on how they made the tunnels and the different purposes of each. Was explained how the Vietnamese used bamboo sticks to provide the tunnels with air and to hide the airway they built termite hills around the opening of the hole. Today was a lot of fun, we went to the junk boats and saw the floating markets. We ended up stopping at a shop where they make candy and treats. We ended up watching a guy make coconut candy by stirring it on a hot stove and then watched how people strung the candy out and cut it. We got a chance to sample some and it was very tasty but quite sweet. We then walked further into the building and watched how they made puffed rice, rice wine, and snake whiskey. A ver...
