Due to leave BA today on a night bus. We have had a week here and it's been very hot, in fact we're more or less as white as when we arrived because it's been too hot to be in the sun. it's a handsome and vibrant city, and feels very European. We've stayed in an apartment in Palermo, so we've been self-catering again. The apartment was great, with a terrace and views out over the city. We spent most of out time out there. Highlights have been the cemetery in Recolata, which is like a mini-city itself. Evita's grave is the big draw, but we just liked wandering around. We went to the Boca Juniors stadium and museum, and MALBA, the big art gallery here, but mostly have just been hanging out in the city. Again everyone we've met has been friendly, welcoming and tolerant of our attempts to murder their language. Have tried the malbec wines here- very nice and really cheap compared to home. Some great markets and lovely parks with
Fountains and sculptures, oh and really excellent ice cream. Lots of protests going on from Malvinas veterans including in the main square near the government offices.
