After a gruelling 10 hour bus ride to the pier, we crossed over to Koh Tao just as the sun was rising. My room, well more to the point my hut! Is a mere 3 minute walk to the beach and just oppotsite the Scuba diving schools bar! This has it's advantages as well as its disadvantages being that my hut is made out of straw and you can't drink the night before adive.So with a very erly start in the morning and a full bar in the evening, sleep doesn't come so easily!...

Koh Samed in one word, easy; Paradise! Having had a reasonably strenuous week of trekking the week before, Koh Samed was there, quite rightly, for pure relaxation! Like the rest of my trip, i feel the trekking week has been and gone all too quickly! Having been expecting a strenuous, muscle burning, back breaking week of torture, the trekking turned out to be quite bearable! Last Wednesday was the temple stay which was a very weird and interesting experience! Once we arrived at the temple we had to put on a white shirt and white trousers, and then we were shown our rooms.......... The room i slept in was a completely empty, marble cell! Absolutely no comforts whatsoever, i slept on a straw mat using my rucksack as a pillow! i'll admit i wasn't expecting luxury but this was just bizarre! In continuation from yesterday's rushed blog i'll give you a bit more detail this time! Today has bin a bit of a chill day, after a fairly heavy night with the gappers from the other houses we were up nice and early in time to get to the local school and see the children. We were standing in front of the class and asked to teach them english which was quite funny as we had no idea how or where to start! In the end we just played Hokey cokey and they loved it! Af...
