After a gruelling 10 hour bus ride to the pier, we crossed over to Koh Tao just as the sun was rising.
My room, well more to the point my hut! Is a mere 3 minute walk to the beach and just oppotsite the Scuba diving schools bar! This has it's advantages as well as its disadvantages being that my hut is made out of straw and you can't drink the night before adive. So with a very erly start in the morning and a full bar in the evening, sleep doesn't come so easily!
But believe it or not! Koh TAo is even more beautiful then Koh Samed. It's now thursday and already i've completed my PADI open water, now onto advanced! This means i'll be able to dive down to 30 metres! (Eeek!) Within the fist 5 minutes of geting into the water i was surrounded by hundreds of different types of tropical fish, i swamup through an enormous shaul of fish which was so vast it was Planet Earth potential it was that good! Infact i was waiting to hear David Attenborough's voice. Already i'd say i've seen most of the cast from finding Nemo!
Scuba diving is pretty incredible, i had my concerns to start with, the whole equalizing part worried me quite a bit, but now i already feel really comfortable and relaxed in the water. There have been sightings of a whale shark in the area as well, so if i get the chance to swim with one of those!? Well, it would make my year!
