In continuation from yesterday's rushed blog i'll give you a bit more detail this time! Today has bin a bit of a chill day, after a fairly heavy night with the gappers from the other houses we were up nice and early in time to get to the local school and see the children. We were standing in front of the class and asked to teach them english which was quite funny as we had no idea how or where to start! In the end we just played Hokey cokey and they loved it!
After the visit to the shcool we came back to the house and decided that we're going to move to one of the other houses as there are more people there and its just a better atmosphere in general! (plus the bar is much bigger then the 1 near our house!) So thats all cool now and we all get on well and everyones really chilled out OBVIOUSLY as they're in Thailand!
Thailands really growing on me, i really like the place and the area we're staying in. Not many tourists come to Singburi so all the Thai people are really friendly and all want to practise their english with you!
In the upcoming week we're having a sleepover with the monks in a temple, apparently thats quite an experience so looking forward to that. At the weekend we have free time so we're heading 3 hours out of Singburi to go to a massive waterfall which is famous amongst real gap travellers! So once we're there we'll probably veg out there for the day and take it all in!
It's quite amazing how devoted the Thai people are to their Buddah, everywhere there's temples and statues and collection boxes! The monks aren't allowed to buy ANYTHING for themselves so they rely on donations from people. (having said that i did catch a couple of monks looking at TV's in the supermarket?...)
Well thats about it for now, hope thats a bit more insight into how my trip is going! I'll let you know how everything goes!xxxxxxxxxxxxx
