Day 5. Las Vegas to Flagstaff.
Checked out of Stratosphere, Las Vegas, Not a cloud in the sky! First stop today Hoover Dam- drove over the Dam to catch a view from the Arizona side then retraced our steps and crossed the new bridge downstream from the dam heading for Kingman on Route66. A quick coffee stop here and rest under a tree next to the Santa Fe Steam train. No peace for the wicked though as we jumped back in the Chevy travelling along one of the longest stretches of Route 66 to Seligan stopping at the amazing Hackberry General Store for a picnic lunch and along the way checking out other small forgotten towns. Back onto the freeway high tailing it to Williams and finally arriving at Flagstaff. Highlight of the day - we saw tumble weed and a also a couple of coyotes (dead on the road though)
