The plan was to drive directly up to Port Douglas where we had arranged to meet up with Ross and Megan who were there on holiday for a week.
We all had a fantastic time together with a great night out at a Italian restaurant dining out on a open balcony on a warm night and then on the next night at a place called The Beach Shack where the floor is sand creating a very different experience. The food was fantastic at both places and with all the palms and warm weather it makes this tropical paradise a place that you just do not want to leave.
Tomorrow we plan to drive up to Cooktown a place we have never been to so that's quite exciting.
