We managed to be on the road by 8.00am, saying our goodbyes to Sheila, we headed for the M5 leading us north onto the M6 for Scotland. Hi Everyone, Monday was a family and friends day, we drove over to Maris and John's house for a most enjoyable lunch taking Shiela (Bill's other sister) with us. We met up up with Jack and Bonnie again, Maris and John' very friendly dogs. They are a little exciteable when we arrive but soon settle and show us how well behaved they be can be. We made arrangements to visit Scott and Julie (Bill's nephew) the following day. Scott lives in the Brownhills area an hours drive north of Birmingham it was also a good excuse to try our hire out. Hi everyone, Well we finally arrived in UK, plane trip good and the seats we chose worked out well, Singapore airlines were excellent. As we came out from customs John and Maris' smilings faces were a welcome site. We haven't seen rain since well before Christmas but we soon learnt what it looked and felt like again!!! It's feels quite cool but my warm coat keeps the chill out and was pleased I had put my scarve and gloves in the carry on bag for easy access....
