Will-and-Marge's Great Adventure to Alaska
Temp: 33 degrees, sunny High 60
Saying for the day: The best apology is a changed behavior.
Today is a day for laundry and to get caught up on entering some GPS coordinates and readying for the trip tomorrow to Beaver Creek. We will hate to leave here, it's a beautiful campground and a lovely city, the last big one for a long time.
Some of you have wondered about our time change and the daylight we have. We are 3 hrs. behind the East Coast and at this point, daylight is until about midnight and then just a dusk til around 4:00 a.m., then daylight again. It really plays havoc with our sleep. Saturday we will cross another time zone and be on AKDT. 4 hours behind the East.
Also some have asked about the roads. They have been much much better than anticipated. We have interstates worse. This last leg to the Alaska border is said to be the worst because of the permafrost. Every spring they must remove the road and redo it. So this could be a slow day tomorrow. Considering the over 2,000 miles we have done in Canada a slow stretch won't be thought of a bad.
Another point, some have mentioned about the Blog Service Ending. That is correct, timing is everything. lol This service has been up and running for 20 years and we pick the year they are closing the doors. June 17th is there last day of their operation. We are still reviewing our options on continuing the blog after that date and we will let you know.
How long staying: 1 more night
Where to next: Beaver Creek, YT

John Chess Safe travels.
June Chamberlin Oh, my, I didn't realize you were getting so much daylight already! It must be hard to think of it as night time!! Your bodies don't know what to do!! I know what I'd be doing...baking bread all night. Anyway, the excitement continues...
Bob Howell What a landing✈️
Clay Welsh Well it was 85 degrees today and there are a lot of forest fires throughout Florida. A couple hundred acres of the bombing range burned. I'm not up on the full amount. I've been walking the Mall most every day. You know what they say, "Use it or Lose it." Most of the times Teri goes along with me. By the way, daughter Brittany had a baby boy. He's named Evan. Great grandparents again. It's 2 a.m. now and I am watching Fox News on my Zidoo X6 Pro. You know I no longer have Directv. Gave that up and get about 50 channels OTA. Until next time, 73 from Highlands County.
Shelley Drummond Prayers for safe travel! Love all the pics and following your journey!
Charly Boone Again thanks for the great photos and history Glad the roads were good I guess that is going to change? Drive safe
Betty K You are really having an adventure. Almost sounds like a redo of pioneer days. Enjoy the ride.
