The hectic traveling schedule continued this morning with a 5 hour bus ride to Chiang Mai. A few of the group went for a ride on an elephant that afternoon. The ride took us through some local forestry, where we got to feed our elephant bananas. The trip then went through a river so that the elephants could cool off, of course whilst cooling off, they really didn't care whether or not we were sat on their backs!! A few of the baby elephants that had come along for the walk started to fight which meant that the adults had to sort it out........by chasing them! Thankfully our elephant was far too busy eating a tree to join in the stampede, so we sat & watched as other people bounced around & held on for dear life. After a late lunch/early dinner, we boarded our night train to take us back to Bangkok....& the end of our tour!
