After safely arriving in Valencia last night and driving to La Cala Finestrat, getting lost, we settled into our very luxurious apartment. Its very big compared to what we have been used to andluxuriously decorated in black and red. Leather lounges, plasma TV and ocean views. It doesn't get better. We spent the day exploring the local area. It is only a two minute walk to a lovely sandy beach and lots of restaurants. We are one suburb down from Benidorm, which is Spains equivilant to the Surfers Paradise. But instead of being overrun by Japanese it's the English here. Yes its big and noisy and very touristy but after so much culture and history throughout the rest of the trip it's a novelty. We booked our tickets to the theme park Terra Mitica for tomorrow. After dinner we visited the BIGGEST supermarket I have ever seen. It was four times the size of Bunningsand sold everything from groceries to pets to Vespas to TV's. I spent an hour wandering around and didn't cover half of it.
