The bus came earlier than expected in the morning, but due to the rains it also arrived late, meaning we were on there for a long 10hours, it wasnt too bad though. The hotel was lovely and we were greeted with flower necklace and a fruit basket each. We then had a quite orientation walk through the City palace, going past the beautiful lafe palace hotel, and the platform where James Bond had dinner in Octop**** - apparently the most romantic place in India. We then went straight to a cooking class where we learnt to cook, and ate traditonal veggie Indian food. On the night the whole group went to the rooftop for drinks.
The next day some people started off with a boat ride around the lake palace, but we went into the City Palace to have a look round (although theres no photos from here as we werent allowed a camera). Then we all met up for a wander round the markets where Kirsty got a lovely Sack bag. We then went for a walk alone and found an impressive temple to have a look round, but just then it started pouring down. We were already soaked so decided to walk back anyway, lucky we did as we randomly walked past a guy ride a huge elephant down the street! After freshening up Raj invited us all to his family home as this was his town where we were welcomed in. Then off to dinner at an open air resturant where everyone tried a Shish.
