We all woke early after a very nervous night’s sleep -not helped by the wind that blew up around 4am. Headed off for the rest of the Tanami and to head to Wolfe Creek Crater for a look around. Very windy and Cam not feeling the greatest, so happy snapped it and headed into Hall’s Creek.
Decided to take Cam to emergency there as his knee feeling hot and he was complaining of sharp pain. The Dr had of course worked in Dubbo for 4 years, was a little concerned the knee was infected and gave us some antibiotics to see how that went. Off we went to Purnululu NP which had a 60km dirt access road the likes of which we’d not seen yet- some creek crossings with steep uphills out of them in growing darkness was just adding to the relaxed mood inside the car by the minute. We were treated to a movable sunset on the Bungle Bungles as we were driving in and a setup in the dark just about tipped everyone over the edge! Mummy not feeling the greatest either hoping v much that’s going to blow over in the morning and we can restart our trip!
