Day 8 .... Mother’s Day started out like any other morning with the usual proximity squabbles but this morning they eventuated into some bacon and eggs and a lovely handmade card for mummy! We had to eat to get our strength up for the day ahead as Matt’s Walking Tours (the one man company we have engaged to accompany us on this trip) decided on a ‘hard’ graded climb up Mt Ohlssen Bragg (900m above sea level) 6km return to the peak.
Mummy not particularly enthused about spending Mother’s Day climbing a (insert expletive) mountain, but even though quite challenging was beautiful all the way up. Our little Stu handled it v well and a Grandma we met halfway down was shamed into completing the climb after she saw a 5yo had done it. She also knew Mrs Griffiths

Rebecca Collins Love this pic! One for your wall! What are the chances the grandma new Mrs G?!
Alison Has the tour operator not read up on Mother’s Day protocol?! Where was the spa?! Glad u enjoyed the hike & hope Matt’s Walking Tours had a nice glass of something for u after at least!
Liz Matt’s walking tours sounds very much like another shoddy outfit called Phil’s hiking tours. Just ask the Rustons, Murrays and Kissanes.
Chrissie Great pics! And a Mother's Day to remember!! xx
