Day 5 (already) travel day to Flinders Ranges. Freeeezing start to morning pickup, we managed to roll out at 11 ☺️ slowly getting hang of it?! Drive to SA was about 600km, country changed gradually to expansive grazing country, still v dry. Loved the stone buildings everywhere, old farmhouses must have been so remote and such a harsh life. Country cleared v thoroughly and scorched as a result in a lot of places. Saltbush still everywhere which I wasn’t expecting. Emus in abundance and finally he Flinders started to appear on the horizon after a rainy stop in Petersborogh for lunch. Couldn’t resist the hot chook from foodworks option with another healthy soft white bread accompaniment, keep telling kids - last time you get fresh bread for a while, get used to Cruskits and wraps!
