Canberra to Taree (585 km)

A remarkably uneventful and boring drive along the freeway to Taree.

Had our normal off freeway stop near Ourimbah north of Sydney for a leg stretch and loo break. What a sorry state of affairs our society has become. The local council has taken the unusual step of padlocking the toilet seats to the toilet bowls. Really who wants to steal a public toilet seat.

Received a room upgrade to a Riverview Room at Midlands Motel. Nice view and we sat and watched the pelicans on the river while having a coffee. Dinner at Sailo's Restaurant at Taree Acquatic Club, located two blocks from the motel. The Chef's special Honey and Soy Pork Ribs with Hokkien Noodle Stirfry was awesome.
