Message from house owner: "shift worker, ring when you arrive will come home to let you in".

On arrival, house in cul-de-sac, narrow roadway, no room to leave van on street. Not enough room between gate and garage to park van, so we pulled onto the grass verge and rang the homeowner. A highway patrol car drove up the street, turned around at the end, then pulled up beside us. We thought we were going to be asked to remove van from footpath. The highway patrol officer walked up and introduced himself as the home owner (shift worker), boy were we releived.
