It was a late night flight that took us once more and probably not for the last time, into Bangkok. Along he way we met a cool Canadian guy called Greg who, once we had checked into a guesthouse, came for a drink with us. It's funny how easy it can be to meet and start talking to random strangers. Sometimes you find yourself talking to people that maybe in different circumstances you wouldn't give time of day to - but because you share the english language, you have something in common. He was a nice guy anyway and we exchanged email details so we may see him again somewhere down the line.

The next day we boarded a bus for Surat Thani on the south east coast of Thailand to then board a boat to Koh Samui. The bus was something akin to torture. A very long 12 hour bus journey in cramped and sometimes latrine smelling conditions! Fun! The Ipod helped pass the time and because it was an over night bus we tried are best to sleep through as much of the journey as possible.
