Day 26 17/08/11

We had some huge distance to make today to get to Alice Springs! So we were up with the alarm just before sunrise……. Decided to make a stop at Three Ways Truck Stop for Breakfast. Good Choice…….. Toby filled up with the Big Breakfast, I enjoyed a Ham & Cheese Croissant and Billy a Toasted Sandwich! We pushed on to Alice and arrived around 2.30ish ……. Lots of Roadside burning still ! As we found out later that night uncontrolled burning happening all around Alice Springs…… we have passed through with no problems. Filled up with Diesel, gave the camper a quick wash at the Car Wash and a Gas Bottle re-fill. Booked in to the Caravan park…. Not going any further today !! Small load of washing and Billy & Dad enjoyed some time just chillin' at the Playground & Jumping Pillow! After dinner at the Camp Kitchen we headed down to the Strawberries Galore stand for some Pancakes & Icecream……………. Yum.
