Day 11 02/08/11

Spent the morning at Alice Springs Deserts Park, amazing how alive the Desert is with animal life!
Birds of Prey display was very special, all birds fly in of their own accord. My favourite was the White Owl she was beautiful. Spent the afternoon shopping - stocking up on food and essential supplies.

Sightseeing Day in Alice!
Royal Flying Doctors Museum – Billy’s favourite part being the Flight Simulator
School of Air – Interesting, all Children belonging to School of Air now have Computer set up’s instead of the radio’s, amazing opportunities for those kids living so far away.
Anzac Hill – Great views looking all over Alice
Old Telegraph Station – Lovely restored buildings & interesting trip through time!
Simpson’s Gap - Great Scenic spot, amazing sized Rock Walls either side
Dr John Flynn’s Grave Site – Flynn was the ideas man for the Royal Flying Doctors
Emily & Jesse Gap – Smaller scenic spot’s similar to Simpson’s, Emily’s Gap had some fabulous Aboriginal paintings.

Setting off in the morning tomorrow to finish Binn’s Track !
