today we walked the Imbros gorge, the walls of rock reach 300m high, while the narrowest part of the ravine is only 2m wide, the walk was 8km.
after a ride back up in the very winding hillside,in a Ute, to the start point we had some food and a glass of the local wine.I was curious what a cheese pie was ,so ordered it for lunch. the wine came in a large tumbler glass and a cheese pie is flat bread like a pancake with crumbled feta inside and fried.very nice, light and crispy.
off to the beach ,frangokastello had a lovely white sandy beach but it was so windy,no swimming today.o but there was is a 14th century Venetian fortress, part of the reason I choose that beach.maybe swimming tomorrow.

Vicki lee Wow so much walking - you'll be mean and lean from it all! I'd love to visit the Greek isles and eat that yummy food. And sun and sea. Nice work Vic. X
