Got a pickup at 7am from our hostel to the airport. Flight into Buenos Aires took an hour and a half. Checked into our hostel called St Nick´s Hostel seems ok. Booked to go and watch a Boca Juniors football match tomorrow night. Not sure who they´re playing and a ticket costs around 25pounds, similar to English prices. Can´t book any tours e.g. to Montevideo (Uruguay) or to the Foz De Igassu falls as the travel agents aren?t open til Monday, so we?ve paid for 3 nights here. Think its about 8pound each a night, and we got a private room and private bathroom, and the hostel is pretty central. But no doubt i´l have more to tell about this new country tomorrow!

When i woke up this morning i was in complete agony with my back, its not enjoying squishy mattresses. I just about managed to get up and had a hot shower to see if that soothed it. Then we headed out for the Casa Rosada (pink palace). Then we headed for San Telmo and got to Plaza Dorrego where we looked around the antiques fair. Some stuff was cool but a lot of it was junk, but i got fixed up with yet another shot glass, although this time its ceramic! We also saw some live tango dancing in the square, which was good to watch. Then we headed for the Obelisco back in the city centre of Avenue 9 de Julio - apparently the widest avenue in the world, it was a bit hectic to cross, traffic was coming from every direction! Then we visited the Teatro Colón - or Theatre of Poo Tubes as i like to call it! Hahaha. Then back to the room to put on more clothes for layers for our 4.30pm pickup to La Bombonera - the stadium to watch the Boca Juniors v San Martin. It has been absolutely freezing all day. At the match it pissed down with rain, so we got completely drenched and were freezing! The quality of football played was nothing compared to the English Premiership and the seats (if you got them) were concrete! But it was a great experience and the Bocas won 1-0. Got back around 9pm and just bummed about then went to bed as we were knackered and wet! Misog!!

Today we trekked down to ´LAN´to see if we could change our flights but it wasn´t possible so we have to stick with our original ones. Changed our Travellers Cheques commission free at American Express, then went and paid for an overnight stay in Montevideo, Uruguay. Leaving on the 25th and coming back the 26th. Came back to our hostel and booked the Iguazu falls trip with Lucas leaving tonight for 5 days. So another 16hr bus journey ahead... :(
