We met Yogi (our driver) this morning and headed off in the car but after about an hour driving around he dropped us off at a small temple and told us the day was ours on our own - yay! We decided to use it to our advantage and did lots of shopping!! Once we have worn ourselves out we walked back to our hotel - on the way we saw two elephants sleeping in\ the shade if a archway- they were beautifully painted with flowers up their trunks! We had a laze around in our room when the sun was too hot outside and headed out for a walk late afternoon - we walked to the water - the city looked beautiful from the bridge over the water - even tho the water itself is not very appealing! Then we headed back up to our hotel roof - not very exciting - tho we spotted a terrace that looked very appealing so headed over - really nice - lots of people sitting in comfy cushioned areas reading their books- we decided that tomorrow we would spend the day doing that too!! A very day of doing no realy sight seeing and not being in the car!! Very nice
