We sat by the pool most of the day today after a late morning, and then moved inside as the cloud came. Our plans were to head to the floating village and it decided to started pissing down as soon as we set off. Felt bad for our driver!! The tuk tuks here are different to the ones in Thailand, here they could take up to 6 people and the driver is on a motorbike attached to the front, which can be disconnected. The tuk tuks in Thailand take only 3, and the whole thing is connected together. Anyway! We arrived at the floating village, and had to pay a bit more than we expected, which annoyed us. We had a longboat to ourselves which was nice, and I really enjoyed the journey through the village, it was amazing to see such large families living in these floating homes, most with the bare minimum furniture wise, however everyone bar the shacks, had a tv/DVD player! They all had hammocks as well. The lake is huge. The largest in South East Asia but can't remember how big he said it was..! We hopped off at one point to see tge crocodile farm, where they sell the crocs to make things from them ;( we also had to end up buying some noodles for some children at the school, which was annoying as it was quite awkward and hard to say no, but we should have put up a fight really!! We were a bit pissed off by the end which was a shame because I had really enjoyed it up until then. But oh well!! Visited the night Market this evening which was good.
Went out for dinner and had some rice dishes.
