Stayed an extra night at Mom's, (am glad we did!) and sat by the pool on our final day as it was nice and sunny. It started to rain whilst we were swimming which was fine as we were already wet, we went back in though and showered and went for a final dinner and packed our bags.
Today we had a 5 hour bus journey down to Phnom Penh, in a very cramped minibus, next to a woman who burped almost continually and had a bag of fried bugs, and was singing along non stop to the music videos which all appeared to be the same, that were playing for the duration of the journey. Someone else had a bag of live fish.. The back doors kept opening as well and as we were at the back we always felt the hot air! A very bumpy ride - got no sleep!!
We finally arrived and I already decided I didn't like the look of Phnom Pehn. I had really liked Siem Reap and it just reminded me a bit of Bangkok here to be honest.
We are in a guesthouse which is a similar price to Moms but not half as nice!
Had a delicious dinner though of a starter main and drink for $6, and tge taste comparable to somewhere like The Bell etc!
