Hey people, Just to let you know we're alive etc. I did actually spend 3 hours writing up the trek we did a couple of days ago but the damn computer deleted the whole lot, including loaded photos and I damn near killed myself. I will write it up again eventually but really, really can't be arsed right now. Although I will say riding elephants was amazing. We're off to Laos tomorrow morning: 6 hour minivan ride then 2 days on the slowboat down the Mekong river. Should be good actually, just got to work out how on earth I can carry all the crap I've bought from the Chiang Mai markets in the last few days...hmm, could be interesting. Anyway, will write when I next have internet access but I doubt it'll be for a good few days now. Must go and stock up on malaria tablets and toilet roll now (they don't use toilet paper in Laos or Cambodia apparently-they use the Indian method of using your hand...we've decided NOT to embrace that particular aspect of their culture).
