Hello hello from Sri Lanka!

We landed at Colombo airport about two and a half hours ago and so far we have pretty much just been in the bar... We managed to choose the worst possible time to visit Sri Lanka: it's a full moon festival tonight so everything shut a few hours ago (well apart from the temples, obviously). Hmm, yes well, never mind, there is a 24 hour bar right here in the airport so I'm sure we'll cope.

My God the flight here was not fun at all. It was only 3 hours so it flew by (I'm sorry that was appalling) but it was pretty damn turbulent. The seat belt sign was on for 90% of the flight and at one point the plane lurched violently and in literally one second we dropped 2000 feet (I was watching the little flight info report on the screen in front of me at the time), I kid you not. I nearly cried. Dave, however, was delighted as he managed to not spill a single drop of his wine and so was feeling very pleased with himself.

Right, I'm off in search of some Sri Lankan Rupees and more stamps in my passport. We have officially begun the homeward journey now (sob) so we shall see you all very soon! Loadsa love Jx
