Got up early after staying at a roadside stop overnight (Warloch Rest Area). We went to Mataranka Hot Springs on the way to Katherine and had a nice warm swim. Arrived just as a Contiki bus was there as well but they left soon after and we prety much had the pool to ourselves. At Mataranke there is a replica of the house from We of the Never Never - Janie Gunn's house. Very basic structure - amazing how people used to live!

Headed into Katherine and went to the information centre to book a cruise for the Katherine Gorge. We went out on a 2 gorge cruise which was great but very hot. Saw a couple of crocodiles and also some Aboriginal painting on the gorge walls.

Got back after the cruise adn paid a whopping $12.75 for three icecream Splits!!

The caravan park we are staying at tonight has thermal springs near it so we walked down for a late swim which was kid of refreshing.
