What a sleep! The bed was not only huge and had enough covers for 2 people but also sooo comfortable. Having woken we realised however that we were still not sure of our movement from here...Setti Fatma in the Atlas or Essouira by the coast. We didn't really have enough days to do the Atlas justice and the fog yesterday and heavy rains today made our decision slightly easier. 3 and a bit hours later we arrived at the coastal town of Essouira; a popular holiday destination for Morrocans. The rain had stopped but still looked threatening and was still much cooler than days before. But as soon as we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. Having parked the car and finding a 'Riad' we already felt relaxed...something we haven't managed since we started! We vowed that this would be a relaxing few days...minimal rushing, driving and walking and more tea breaks! We have planned for 2 nights here. Walking the streets it is evidently set up for tourists but touting does not really happen and the locals are so friendly and polite. It actually feels like a Moroccan version of a quirky seaside town! It's architecture and history is stunning and very different from the cities. White washed walls with blue doors are striking against clean streets and it is full of very reasonably priced cafes, food stalls and markets. For the first time we don't feel like we are wing continually ripped off an it has restored our faith in human kindness!

Sue Enjoy your relaxation at the 'seaside'. You must have many more tales to tell when you get back but you do both seemed to have enjoyed your time there. Love us xxxx
Pam Relaxation sounds like a good idea. Just goes to show you can't be too rigid with an itinery but just go with your gut feel and it's usually right. You sound as though you are having a very varied holiday so enjoy the rest of it. Love Pam xxxxx
