Today we drove from Hoi An to Hue via Da Nang and the Hai Van pass.Scenic trip along coast road and through mountains took about 3 hours includinga stopover at the pass for photos of the views over the coast and the old fort at the top of the pass. Arriving at the pass we were attacked by a horde of sellers offering drinks and food but managed to escape and enjoy the view.

Again had breakfast at the hotel, this time we got a seat by the river which was great. Watching small boats putting up the river.After breakfast we picked up our day packs and went to reception for our half-day trip to My Son. The ruins were about an hour's drive from Hoi An. Woke up and had breakfast at the hotel. Nice breakfast room overlooking the river with crepes cooked to order!Our first stop was the tailor to get some shirts made. We decided to go to Yaly as it was recommended to us. We arrived at our hotel, Life Heritage Resort, around 2pm and checked in. The hotel was right next to the old town of Hoi An so was in the perfect location to explore.After dropping our bags in our room we decided to head out for lunch. We had a bit of a sleep in then breakfast at the hotel before packing and checking out. Took airport transfer to the very old Ho Chi Minh City airport.After waiting for our flight to appear on the screen without success we decided to head down to the Vietnam Airlines check in area and checked in. After a couple of gate changes we finally boarded the plane and were on our way to Danang.
