After the half moon party we chilled out for a bit the following day and generally took it easy, finally we ventured out and grabbed something to eat at the 'Happy Place', awesome homemade cheeseburger, delicious. Afterwards we jumped in the sea and watched the sunset as Coldplay was being blasted out over the speakers. The sunset was amazing; as we're pretty close to the equator it took about 5 minutes to fully set so you could almost see it move and it was gorgeous.
Unfortunatley when we got back to our gaff the place was infested with cockroaches so we spent about an hour eradicating them, I reckon we removed about 20 in total then finally we could venture into the bathroom to use the toilet! The following day we organised to go diving in Koh Tao which is supposed to be one of the best places to do it, it cost 50 quid for a whole day including lunch and breakfast which i was pleased about! To get us in the mood we grabbed some snorkels and swam out to the reef that was at our beach in Haad Yao we saw some pretty amazing tropical fish there too! Literally the minute we had got out of the sea it absolutely hailed it down with rain, luckily we were undercover but me and Mick decided to leg it into the sea! It was like the entire sea was covered in mist and it felt dead wierd but was a nice experience!
The following day it was time for some diving action, we got up at 7 and was on the boat for 8 which took 2 hours to get to Koh Tao. We had some briefing on the boat then me and G'bo donned our equipment and leapt in (Mick and Leeroy went snorkelling in the same place), diving was amazing, bit nerve racking at the start being able to breath underwater and everything but you get used to it! We had to do three tests, one was removing your beathing apparatus, one was throwoing away your breathing aoparatus and retrieving it and the other was to fill your goggles up and remove the water by blowing through your nose. Me and G'bo did those pretty easily then we headed down to about 5 metres below the surface and sat on the sand for a bit, getting used to the breathing, after a while we statrted swimming around and we saw some pretty cool stuff. We saw millions of tropical fish and some pretty special sea life like batfish, barracuda and a blue spotted ray. I recommend diving to anyone its quality, looking forward to the Great Barrier Reef now!
Now I've journed to the south of the Island preparing for the Full Moon Party in Haad Rin, the place is a bit of a dive but its gotta be expected. The party should be good then we're heading to the west coast of Thailand to check out the marine park!
