Day Fifty-two 5.5.05 It rained all night last night but fortunately by morning it had passed. It was a bit cloudy which was fine as the plan was to drive into Marbella. We found an El Corte Inglais which contained the most grotesque furniture and accessories we have ever seen. They were both grotesque because of the price and also the style. It was bit like walking into a shrine for anything gold plated and with animal print. There is a lot of nouveau riche in Marbella and we guess money does not buy taste. We had lunch by the marina and watched the world go by. We saw an old lady with black tight permed hair with vibrant red on top and she was walking with her poodle who had the same treatment! Dogs are a big thing over here and there are plenty of handbag varieties about. The only problem is they all yap a lot and there is dog poo everywhere so you have to keep a constant eye on where your treading. After lunch we had a look around the old town which is quite and relaxed without the traffic to contend with. After an hour or so of window shopping it was sunny again so we headed for the beach, it's a really nice stretch near the campsite so although the site is full of cackers its one of the best because of the pool and the proximity to the beach. We met a couple of really nice girls today on the site called Helen and Chris, we went over to their lovely motor home in the evening and cleaned them out of red wine and martini rosso, we shall have to get them a replacement bottle. We chatted and laughed drunk a lot.
