Wills and James Road Trip
Day Forty-seven 30.4.05
After last nights drinking binge and being pestered by a mosquito and listening to a crowing cockerel James finally got up at 10am (Which he was quite pleased with.) We took a drive to Cadiz as it wasn't really beach weather. It was so busy we thought that there might be a festival going on. We did our usual trick of parking on the edge of the city and walking in. It turns out that there was no festival but just normal Saturday trading.
Cadiz has a wealth of shops within narrow pedestrianised streets. We spent a good few hours just strolling about in the hubbub. We ventured onto El Puerto de Santa Maria, this is where the Spanish head for relaxation and not many tourists bother. We didn't stay long as it wasn't that special. We did, however, find a Decathlon superstore. We had been advised that it was a sports and recreation store with lots of camping gear. We had been told about it weeks ago but never found one until today. Will was still in search of his reclining chairs. Unfortunately Decathlon did not deliver so we bought a mosquito net and two self inflating mattresses to improve the comfort of the bed.
Pleased with our purchases and Will resigned to the fact that the reclining chairs we are after have not been invented yet we returned to the campsite. With it being the weekend and a bank holiday it has been inundated with screaming kids with water balloons and teenagers with loud 'music'. We will stay however as we want to do the beach again and its probably the same everywhere.
