Wills and James Road Trip
Day Forty-six 29.4.05
We travelled down to Cadiz today and found a campsite in Comil de la Frontera. The site is clean and grassy which is lovely after the dust bowl of the Seville site. Unfortunately the pool is far from ready but the beach is only 500 yards away.
After putting up the awning we walked to the beach. This area is being quite heavily developed but it is in the very early stages. The beach is amazing, its about five miles long and almost completely deserted. It looks as though the sea comes up right to the cliff edge and it would be quite easy to be trapped by an incoming tide as there are only a few places to get onto the beach. In fact we found our own route to it and had to jump two metres off the cliff to get onto the beach.
About a mile up the beach was a restaurant with stunning views of the coast. We had huge glass of sangria each and decided to book a table for the evening. We thought being such a fantastic restaurant it would be full. When we arrived later there where only a few other tables taken but it was only 8pm. James decided to go for the Meat, Carrot, Egg and Mint soup (Just out of curiosity) and Will ordered a mixed salad with tuna. The soup was surprisingly good, although probably difficult to recreate at home. Wills tuna salad turned out to be anchovies with lettuce hearts. For the main James tolerated the rarest of rare medium cooked fillet steaks and Will had sea bass. After dessert we had a massive liqueur each and a free top up to finish us off. We left very inebriated about 11.30 and it hadn't got any busier.
