Well we had another early start today. Our boat was scheduled to depart at 9am so we grabbed some breakfast and made our way to the pier. We again had a helping hand via a pushy trolley, and we piled onto the boat. The other boat was going towards Krabi and that seemed to have double the sheep than ours. The boat departed and we nestled down for our journey. As we left the small pier area we could see waves that looked high and very strong, soon we were in a Hollywood movie scene as the boat crashed and rose into the air, only to drop with emensce force taking our stomachs with it. Soon there were people leaving their seats to go and vomit over board, young backpackers that looked so sweet and tanned now were at the mercy of their stomachs and the waves. I bet they wished they hadn't had that full english!!! I got worried at one staged when all i could hear was the sound of the motors spinning in mid air!!!

We arrived in Phuket and got hearded off the ferry and into the waiting taxis to take us to our Hostel. Phuket backpackers hostel as its called and it was really nice. Our room also had the added bonus of en-suite which we wern't expecting. Our door opened up to a small shrine which in my case isn't always bad. We decided to got and grab some food and take a wander around. We found a really tasty noodle place and had pork noodle soup. We then decided to go and take a wander but it started to rain so we headed straight for the bus station to sus out the timings and prices to Bangkok. We then went on another random walkabout and found a really tasty restraunt which was dirt cheap, so we decided to return the following evening. We returned to our hostel and used the free internet and went to bed!!!

Today we decided we had to do it, we had to go to Patong beach and see what all the fuss is about. We also had a date with the same noodle shop we had eatten in the day before. We sat down and order some pork noodle soup and it arrived, well with some Tongue and Testicle and the way Ellie gets about Ketchup this was rejected with sounds of reeching and cold sweat coming off her brows. I can honistly say it was ok, a bit chewy but I too felt like Ellie after it had registered in my brain. We made a hasty retreat and went to the infamous Patong. We arrived and it was like hell warmed up, there was neon bars everywhere, men trying to sell us stuff dressed in smart suits and just a tad slimey. There were dirty old fat men with tatoos and vests on holding really young Thai girls hands. I even spotted one dude who looked like Gary Glitter telling a Thai girl how much money do you want!!! We did have a pizza but felt it was too seedy for us and after a further walk around to really let it sink in we made an ealy departure!!! Seriously if you like that type of thing then go, if you don't then stay the hell away. We got back to our room and opened the door, we both stood in awe, we had a brand new T.V and DVD player installed, GET IN THERE!!! So we got the Beach out as I had never seen it and watched that. We then went out for some dinner and returned to get another DVD out and proceeded to watch that but the end froze so we were a bit gutted. We haven't given the name away as we want to find out ourselves and not through a E-Mail. Well we have an early start again.

We thought Phuket was OK but we felt the drinking and clubbing culture here, along with the seedy side made it a tad bit cringful. Not our cup ouf tea or coffee but hey lets see what Bangkok has in store.
