We visited Nimbin, which is a hippie town where everyone takes drugs. Had a walk around the market and the shops. Looked around the Nimbin Museum which was strange and had lots of Volkswagon Camper Vans parked in the walls and things. After this we went to the Lighthouse in Byron Bay, this is the most Easterly point of Australia. We were a bit lazy and drove up there rather than cycling or walking, but it was so hot. We left Sydney on Thursday morning and set off on a seven hour drive to Coffs Harbour. We stayed over night in a hostel. Steve drove most of the way and then I took over for the last couple of hours. It was fun driving the station wagon, but I didnt realise how long the bonnet was and when I parked at the hostel I drove straight into the fence, opps, luckily it didnt break it and the bumper already had a dent in it.
