No rest for the wicked breakfast at 7am and we depart shortly after. Our stop tonight is Korcula, the weather today is not too bad and we have a couple of swim stops that were just magical, jumping off the back of the boat into the water – heaven, it's refreshing but not cold. Some take this as exercise sessions swimming around the ship or towards the shore and back. Rod is a clown jumping off the back in all sorts positions!! I have been here 26 years ago when it was communist and Yugoslavia - nothing is familiar!!! We take part in the walking city tour but I am soon overwelmed by all the facts and figures our Cruise Manager tells us - it goes in one ear and out the other so I enjoy taking photos. The one thing I did learn is Marco Polo was born on this island. Its finished soon enough so Rod & I walk through the streets and find a wonderful cafe/bar at the end of a point where no cruise passengers are - we just sit and enjoy the view and peace. We opt out of the additional evening to a local village as Rod ate so much lunch today he can’t move, everyday Pasta course, I have avoided this daily and feel fine. It sends people straight to sleep after lunch.
We have a very quiet evening, no alcohol, food and sit on deck with no other passengers around, it feels like our own super yacht – ha ha. An early night and in bed by 9pm reading our books – bliss – we are both feeling a bit peopled out and looking forward to getting back to New Zealand and especially now that spring has sprung.
