Today we hired bikes from the hostel as it is definitely a popular way of getting around the city. We rode along side the river which was pleasant in the sun. We made our way to the Gion area where we spotted a geisha! We then went to the Kennin-ji temple. In the Gion district there was an intersting street we rode down which had old, traditional small wooden buildings where the Geisha have their appointments and do there entertaining. We then had lunch at very colourful shrine, called Yasaka-jinja shrine. Selina and sarah did the ritual...chech the video out!!
