Hello from Japan!! After a rough nights sleep at Heathrow airport, due to the cancellation of our flight...we arrived in Japan yesterday afternoon. Straight away we caught the bullet train to Kyoto and found our hostel. We ate in a cool traditional Japanese restaurant where had to take off our shoes and sit on mats on the floor and try our best to eat with chopsticks! As we were exhausted from the whole flight drama we then went straight to bed.

Today we went sightseeing through central Kyoto. First thing we spotted were the hundreds of bicycles that we had to dodge as we walked on the pavements. Selina was actually caught in the middle of a crash between two bicycles! Shes ok though as she managed to find the strength in her to laugh it off. The first attraction we saw was Kyoto tower. We then looked around Higashi Hongan-ji temple. To enter the temple we had to take off our shoes. We had lunch at Kyoto Palace Imperial Park. The park was huge and we asked a lady to take a photo of us in front of the palace. As Libby was given her camera back the ladys cute dog got quite excited and seemed like he wanted to play with Libby. So as you would do, libby went to stroke the cute dog however it snapped and went to bite her. Luckily she was quick enough to escape a bite!! Not so cute after all.

When we got back we had noodles, played cards and went up to our 18 bed dorm! funny?
