Today was our last day in Kyoto and involved A LOT of walking! We walked to Kinkaku-Ji (The Golden Temple) and on our way we stopped at a shrine to have a look around. Me and Selina tried the shrine ritual here which involves bowing and clapping... you can see it on our videos section! After at least a half an hour walk we got to the Golden Tample... it was so pretty! There were stalls nearby and we tried some funny foods and tried a green tea which had gold bits...

Today we hired bikes from the hostel as it is definitely a popular way of getting around the city. We rode along side the river which was pleasant in the sun. We made our way to the Gion area where we spotted a geisha! We then went to the Kennin-ji temple. Hello from Japan!! After a rough nights sleep at Heathrow airport, due to the cancellation of our flight...we arrived in Japan yesterday afternoon. Straight away we caught the bullet train to Kyoto and found our hostel. We ate in a cool traditional Japanese restaurant where had to take off our shoes and sit on mats on the floor and try our best to eat with chopsticks!
