20th September Arrived very tired from our long flight but at least we had in-flight entertainment on board...loads of flims and video games. Bangkok itself is very polluted and smells a bit s***y! Had lunch from a street vendor for 50p and didn't get stomach ache...amazing. Found Khao San Road which was manic with loads of shops...Everything is so cheap especially at the Night Bazar. We have looked into sending things home, so look out Royal Mail! 21st September Went to Grand Palace and had to borrow a sarong and blouse to cover up our flesh!! Met up with some American Boys who invited us on a boat trip. Well worth it. Saw loads of poverty along the way. 22nd September. Spent the day on an organised trip to the floating markets, The Bridge over the River Kwai and the Tiger Temple. 23rd September Left Bangkok and flew down to Kho Samui rather than spend 14 hours on a train...true backpacker style! Staying in a beach bungalow which is very basic... not like our Bangkok hotel at all!
