Our last day in paradise we thought we would visit another island. We went to Malamala island to relax on the beach and snorkle but after seeing a sea snake we stayed out of the water! We also did some reef fishing but the only thing we caught was a tan! Had a BBQ lunch on the beach. It was a great way to spend our last day.

Wow, we started off at 11.30 so the lay-in was a treat. Today was a nice relaxing day spent at the mud pools in which we got into what seemed like an extremly dirty ditch. There was very hot mud at the bottom which we spread over our skin. Afterwards we then got into a very hot spring water pool and washed off. The water was hotter than a bath...too hot really. Finished the Feegee Experience and went back to Nadi Bay for the night.

Today we stopped at a remote village to experience a sevu-sevu ceremony in which th locals drink a drink made from a kava plant root. We hated it as it tasted like ditch water..! Declined seconds! We also we lucky enough to visit an orphanage where we took gifts for the children. They sang us some songs and then showed us around their home and church. In the afternoon we went bamboo rafting down Wainbuka river and then onto the beach resort for the eveni...

We started the day by doing a very long and sweaty 2 1/2 hour trek through the Namosi Highlands. It was very hilly and we even had to walk through the river for about 1/2 hour, saw a few toads on the way! Evenually when we reached the end of the trek we were glad to have lunch. After lunch we then tubed down the Navua river which was a laugh through a few rapids. Back to the bus by longtail boat and reached our hostel late afternoon. Slept very well!

We started the Feegee Experience this morning and had a great time. We started off by visiting Nadi Town which alot of peolpe have said is a tip but we quite enjoyed it and we were glad tobe backin a bit of culture. Then we went to the beach for lunch where local children were selling bracelets and anklets for $5....probably got ripped right off! Sarah bought one. Then we headed to a local village where we were shown around by the children who ran tow...
