Went to Raffels for afternoon tea, expensive but a visit to Singapore isn't complete with a visit to Raffles, even if it was for a cuppa and not a famous Sinagpore Sling! Flew onto to Australia Friday night.

Departed KL on a luxury bus destined for Singpore and were loaded up with Famous Amos cookies for the long journey! Oh and grapes! This was the first time we had crossed a country border by road and it was a bit of an ordeal! We arrived at the border of Malaysia and had to get out of the bus to have our passports stamped, then get back on the bus to cross the bridge over to Singapore. Didn't do alot today, just chilled out after having a nice lie-in. Wondered around ChinaTown and then went for Pizza. Back to ChinaTown in the evening for some last minute bargains before for heading onto Singapore tomorrow.

Today we went to the Petronas Twin Towers here in KL. You can see them in the picture. They are both 88 floors high and are joinned together by a sky-bridge at the 41st and 42nd floor. It was free to go up and cross the bridge which gave us some great views of the city. There's a shopping mall underneath which we had a look around. Loads of designer shops and even found a M&S which we hoped would do food but they didn't. We really could have done with a yum...

We woke up having quite a good nights sleep dispite having to share a bed together and quickly moved to another hostel, this time on the outskirts of ChinaTown. Its very basic but we don't mind. Theres hot water and a 'western' style toilet! We aren't enjoying Malaysia as much as we thought. Its just not as good as Thailand.
