Caught the bus to Newcastle this morning. We have bought a long journey bus ticket from Greyhound which entitles us to 'hop on and hop off' as much as we like up the East Coast. Got to Newcastle which is a lovely little town with a nice beach. It was so nice to get out of the city and beable to breathe in fresh air!! Went for a brief stroll and headed back to our hostel for the free bbq at the local bar. We were a bit dissappointed to say the least at the food on offer. Steamed sausages, pasta and salad. This was supposed to have been our first real Aussie bbq...and the snags were steamed! Great! Couldn't really complain as it was free. Just hope the free pizza tomorrow is better!
