8:00 am we set off for Mozambique and after all the early problems with the visa, the border itself was surprisingly easy. We arrived in Maputo, the capital, in the early afternoon and checked into the Southern Sun - a very nice hotel with an infinity pool. We were introduced to 3 new family members who were joining us for the Mozambique section ……. Lisa & Peggy, a couple from Denver and Stephanie from LA -The Yanks had arrived, albeit at the later stages of our campaign.

The first activity was a city tour but a number of us decided we were now on a proper holiday and opted for the infinity pool followed by a few sundowners in a bar Kim found further down the beach…… The wildlife was on hold and the party about to begin.
