left at 09.30 with a driver we had arranged through our hotel on the way to Narlai and we stopped en-route at the 15th century Kumbhalgarh Fort which was hugely impressive with great views of the Aravalli countryside. Then on to the marble Ranakpur Jain Temple, equally impressive. The roads were narrow, only one car width, and drove through some hilly countryside. Arrived at Rawla Narlai hotel around 6.00pm - lovely hotel with touches of the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel about it - I'm Judy Dench and Dan is Bill Nighy!

Situated in a rural village with no tourists and was a very peaceful 2-night break. We had a walking tour of the local village in the morning and visited a couple of homes which was interesting - shearing sheep the old fashioned with hand shears etc. Our room was upgraded and we just relaxed, swam, watched the England game - we are doing India slowly.
