We left Ubud, the place of spirit and happyness, to go and see the North of Bali. We were supposed to get a car and drive ourself, however, the people in Bali do not take reservation soooo serious. Therefore we did not get a car and our hotel driver took us to the North. On our way we stopped in Taro at the Elefant Safari Park. It was sooo amazing, Elefants were painting on T-shirts, calculating and doing crazy stuff :) We felt like in a circus! After some looking around we got to ride Lady Gaga:) well that was the name of our Elefant. It was pretty funny riding that animal, however, comfortable is something real different! It was definatly worth the money, as I gues I will not be seeing Elefants again so soon.

We drove further into the mountains, when our driver really wanted to show us something about tee and coffe and animals that poop coffe. I had no idea what he was talking about but he said it would be free and worth the time. So we discovered a plantage of coffee trees, cocoa tress, different spieces and herbs as well as flowers. It was really amazing especially when we got to taste all the different kinds of tees and coffees. It is said that one of the most expensive, Kopi Luwak coffee, which is also grown there, should be amazing. The coffee is the result of an animal, Luwak, eating the coffee beans and pooping it out. The collect the poop and make coffee out of it. I, for sure, did not feel like tasting something that once was poop :) and neither did Marvin. Therefore this special taste is still unexplored.

When we found our way on the top of the mountains we got to know a whole different side of Bali. It was almost cold up there, the hotels did not need AC as it was cooling down during night time and everything was so green and quiet. Our homestay was amazing with an esthonishing view into the jungle and the bathroom was made out of stone, including an amazing bath tub. :)

Bali is an iseland with so many different faces. It is so worth seeing all the sides and faces the island has to present.
